The treatment
What happens.
It begins with your feet in a copper bowl of warm water and linden flowers from the garden. Then your therapist asks where you are holding it and how much pressure you like, and the next eighty minutes follow your answers: long, slow strokes along the back and legs, patient work through the shoulders and jaw, the scalp last. The oil is cold-pressed sunflower and hazelnut, warmed and steeped with our own sage.

How the time unfolds.

Linden foot bath and a short conversation about pressure and focus areas

Back, legs and arms with long, slow strokes and warm sage oil

Focused work where you asked for it: shoulders, neck, lower back or calves

Face, jaw and scalp, then ten minutes under a warm blanket
Afterwards
Heavy limbs, a quiet head and a jaw that has finally unclenched. Most guests take their tea in the garden afterwards rather than rushing back to the ferry.
